I don't think I will ever understand how a Business Insider article can get 45 points.
- threeseed 12y agoBecause it mentions Tesla. Spend some time in /r/technology and you will see just how pervasive the Tesla love is amongst the technical community. There's nothing rational about it.

- pm90 12y agoThe tech community often roots for the underdog v/s the Goliaths. Just look at the MS/IBM hate; and the love for Apple when it was struggling earlier this century (of course that has changed now)
- mikeash 12y agoThey make a really nice product, and they managed to succeed as a new company in an old and hidebound industry. Further, it's an industry that most of us spend a lot of money on, that often dissatisfies us, and Tesla is making a good attempt to fight some of the core areas of dissatisfaction. This makes it really interesting to a lot of people, rationally.
