Last year, I read the autobiography of Isaac Asimov (the first two books, not the later memoirs) and he wrote that he was terrible at remembering names of the people he met. I thought this was very odd, because he was famous for remembering millions of little facts about history and science. Maybe he experienced a similar phenomenon?
