Well, that's the fundamental disagreement, really. Do you have a right to not be seen when out in public? I don't think you do, and continuing to insist on that when technology in general and recording technology in particular are only going to get better over time is a futile effort.
- izacus 12y agoIt's futile only if you do not regulate and control it properly. In socialist times the citizens of my country said the same for secret police which was doing the same - and history has proven that resistance there was neither futile nor ineffective.
- LLWM 12y agoThat's a circular argument. What constitutes "proper" regulation and control is the thing in question here.
- adsr 12y agoI think it's understood that what is done in public is public, however that is not the same as having the same information recorded, analyzed with facial recognition and machine learning technology and stored for the future.
