It's interesting that Hound itself is a Rails app [1]. And it seems to be really well organized / put together. Thoughtbot is definitely following Sandi Metz's rules for developers [2]. There are a lot of small, plain Ruby classes that are very easy to understand. Must be relatively easy to maintain and add new features.
