Do you have any thoughts on how to organize something like this? It really takes developers with a built up knowledge of a code base and a shared set of code standards, architecture choices, etc in order to build something. That's why open source projects tend to have a core team. Teaching non-profits how to work with open source communities (and vis versa) would probably go a long way.
