I appreciate your perspective. Your reaction is understandable. My general feeling on working with my teams is one of social dread. I just don't feel like I have a lot in common with people in general. I think popular culture is pretty carcinogenic- so when people engage in small talk about the local sports teams or whatever thing happened on must-see-tv last night, I get anxious.
