The reason we went with GCS is because AWS limits you to 100 static sites (buckets). That's a block for our hosted solution. The code is MIT, so do with it what you want. May be a little bit more complicated then just switching out the build layer, but if you can get something working that's configurable, feel free to send in a PR.
