NPR and public radio more generally in the U.S. is such a national treasure, and these guys were one of the brightest gems. I loved seeing their personalities and infectious laugh enshrined with a cameo in Pixar's Cars, which itself captured a sort of best-of or hall-of-fame for American car culture.
- Pxtl 12y agoToo many of the great voices they had in that movie are now gone - George Carlin, Paul Newman, and now Magliozzi.
- voltagex_ 12y agoWas there a difference in the US and UK editions of Cars? I don't remember the cameo.
- wiredfool 12y agoThey were the Rust-eze guys. Totally in character. There are differences in the voice over -- Harv is Jeremy Clarkson in the UK, but definitely not in the US version. http://pixar.wikia.com/Harv http://pixar.wikia.com/Harv
