Damn, I was thinking about trying for a "late" application, but apply.ycombinator.com seems to be down.
Does anyone know if they still allow this, in principle? Or are batches now so saturated (with good ideas) that they dropped the option?
- kevin 12y agoWe do still allow late apps. We're working on the problem and hope to have it back up soon. Sorry guys!
- Udo 12y agoNo problem, thanks for the quick response!
- esusinc 12y agoAs a first time applicant, is there a declination notification or is lack of response the indicator of being passed over? Also, it seems there is an advantage in submitting late as you may avoid applicant fatigue. True?
- kevin 12y agoWe send emails to everyone. If you didn't get one, email us at apps at ycombinator dot com
- BillionaireBear 12y agoWhat happens if a rejected company from this batch submits a late application. Does this paradox cause the universe to implode? Haha - honestly though , is this acceptable?
- imrehg 12y agoMy guess would be - don't ask but do. Asking for permission probably makes it already a "no".
- Brandrsn 12y agoFrom apply.ycombinator.com: "You are listed as a founder on another application. Please do not create a new application unless you're applying with a different startup." Was worth a look... :-)
- jordanbrown 12y agoHow about a rejected application but one that now has traction? ie live in the App Store and growing.
