It all sounds nice, but we all know there's always two end senarios if their service takes off... They grow a user base, get shot a NSL: 1) Keep the success rolling and continue on business as usual while their naive users are data farmed. 2) Pull a lavabit. Think we all know senario two is unlikely. I'll stay away from social media for the time being, perhaps until some decentralized mesh net encrypted p2p service becomes a reality. 2020?
