The point was the utter insanity of it all, of the same way of societal organization of rulers and subjects continuing for millenia on end. Tyranny intensifies, and tyranny loosens up, but no matter how many times our rulers prove to us that having rulers is a bad idea, the masses keep accepting them anyway.
