Only because the general public is so... average (pretty dumb). If the average person had a 10 or 15 point higher IQ, I think people would put a higher value on intelligence in their elected officials. I think that the world would look a lot different (better) if the average intelligence was raised by this much. So many things would change. A dawn of a new era.
