- skolor 17y agoI've had a couple people come up in one of my classes that I recognized the names from HN. Any of you who have talked at Def-Con/Black Hat/similar conferences, you've probably come up in some classes, and its weird to have that happen with someone you've talked to.

- edw519 17y agoAbout a year and a half ago, kirubakaran and I met at the door of a yc event and decided to put our hacker news names on our name tags. I had already been posting for about a year by then. People I didn't recognize walked up to me saying things like, "I like the way you handle third normal form," "I can't believe you still code to ie6," and "Your object code is my source code." A night this hacker will never forget.
