Does anyone else find the DSL(s) in Angular to be maddening?
- pixie_ 12y agoIf Angular wasn't endorsed by Google would it be as popular as it is?
- DonnyV 12y agonope!
- hippich 12y agoAfter working for some time on angular project, I got a conspiracy theory: Google bought this company and threw angularjs to masses so they get all excited and spin wheels reimplementing stuff already done elsewhere, while Google will keep building products :) I am joking of course, but each joke always have part of truth in it..
- ahoge 12y agoIt got attention before it was associated with Google. It was created by a googler, but it wasn't a Google project from the beginning.
- omouse 12y agoThe biggest mistake they've made with Angular is that they're using a custom documentation system that's also written in Angular and JavaScript. The DSLs would be okay to work with if they were better documented and had better examples and an easy to use docs system.

- mrcarrot 12y agoThey did at least used to have a discussion/comments section on each documentation page, which I often found at least as useful as the actual docs. And then they removed them, because, umm, maybe they were too useful, who knows! :(
- mikaraento 12y agoMost templating languages have binding syntax, and most people want them to have some. That said, I too find the documentation too brief, especially on things like ng-repeat's filters.
