If I wanted brutal honesty from my friends, I would ask them for it. If they're not being brutally honest with me, it's typically for a good reason, and they'll do it on request. I have no idea how a random software engineer on the other side of the world is going to be useful in regards to giving me brutally honest advice without seeing any perspective but my own (the only information he will have to go off is what I tell him).
