Where I live, the word convicted relates to a crime. Wikipedia seems to agree with me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conviction http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conviction. By that definition, Microsoft was never convicted, since it was never accused of a crime. Microsoft was tried in civil court.
