Is is the same as the ZTE Open C Firefox Phone? because I tried it and it's pitiful. IIRC it's £60 in the UK. Don't bother with that phone, it's useless.

- srcmap 12y agoForm the point of view of the folks who never use a smart phone before, this $35 phone is probably very good. Just as win3.1 might be very good for someone who only use DOS before.
- muyuu 12y agoI disagree on both accounts actually. I hated Win3.1 with a passion, everything ran like crap as it tried to do too much on computers that weren't ready for it, 99% of the time (only by the time of 3.11 for WorkGroups it started being decent). I was definitely happier working on DOS (DRDOS 6, MSDOS 5, DOS/V) at the time using protected mode. This is a bit of the same thing. A smartphone so poor, it will make you love your dumbphone and your computer a lot more. Tries too much on hardware that just cannot deal with it. Shame, because some of the ideas are really necessary right now. Like OS-level control of app privileges as standard, network control, privacy controls... absolutely essential. I'd very likely get a high end Firefox phone despite of how terrible the current phone is, if it performs passably. There was talk about that (and tablets) earlier in the year but I haven't seen anything.
- Yoric 12y agoSeriously? It's my main phone. It has drawbacks, clearly, but it's quite sufficient for my needs.
- muyuu 12y agoSeriously? back at you. It's absolutely terrible, fails as a phone and I would rather have no smartphone than using that.
