Is there precedent that backs up the legality of National Security Letters?
- ep103 12y agoI believe to date every time an individual has sued about receiving a national security letter, the government has arrange to remove the NSL gag and get the suit dropped, so as to prevent setting a precedence as to their limits or illegality. But doing that requires a constitutional lawyer, and that is expensive, so they continue to be effective gag tool.
