One of the worst things about the internet is folk who 1. Make a bad/irrelevant joke 2. Get downvoted for it 3. Assume that the downvotes occur because people didn't get the joke That goes double on a place like HN which discourages such posts, but even on reddit, sometimes folk just won't think your damn joke/reference is funny!
