- aikah 12y agoAll "PAAS" are expensive. You pay for the ease of deployment I guess.Renting a VPS or a micro instance on Amazon is cheap but you need to set up all the infrastructure which can be tricky. Fortunatly with tools like vagrant you can now get production ready images for all projects easily, which makes the deployment process easier.
- joshmn 12y agoI'm in complete agreement. I've been using Docker/Dokku to do the heavy-lifting lately. Not related, but is Vagrant more mature?
- SEJeff 12y agoFYI vagrant can manage docker, it is more of about the same in reality. https://docs.vagrantup.com/v2/provisioning/docker.html https://docs.vagrantup.com/v2/provisioning/docker.html
