For me, the choice of board members is second to the quality of the product. Sure there are other options, but none as effortless and universal. If you work with clients or team members who are familiar Dropbox it's too easy to pass up for company politics. I think it might be a tough sell to change your shared storage system because Condoleezza Rice was appointed. Now privacy concerns are another matter. In my case this is not a particularly important issue. But if it were, Dropbox gives us enough reason to leave in that department.
