Absolutely. SQLite definitely beats us today on documentation, ecosystem — heck even on stability. Beyond offering a more simple API, we hope to have an edge on performance, data size (~50% smaller on disk) and ease of use for multi-threaded scenarios. As stated before, we’re also working on sync. Eventually we do hope to catch up to (or do better than) SQLite & Core data on docs & ecosystem as well. We all have to start somewhere, though!
