He founded the company in 1795, choosing a spot in Papenburg so construction projects would be safe from storms. In his wildest dreams, I doubt Willm Rolf Meyer could have ever imagined this as a legacy. Or that his family business would survive 219 years and apply its experience this way. Remarkable.
