- t3f 12y agoAlong the lines of your question, the guys at escapecom also wrote a white paper [1] that covers the high level technical details, and talk through the Chicago to Jersey problem from the OP. They do also sell such gear, so there may be some bias and salesmanship in there as well, but it was a good read.
