Well, its more of a write once, publish everywhere solution from what I understand-it allows .Net devs to develop in C# for Android/iOS. I recently tried downloading MonoDevelop on OSX, and poked at an ASP.NET MVC 3 web app. Straight out of the box I couldn't run it without an error popping up I couldn't get rid of, so I ditched it.
