Never give up: The story of the man behind Tetris.
- ZeroGravitas 17y agoThis story is not about "the man behind Tetris" and I am dubious of several of the claims made. "Henk didn't invent Tetris, but he's the entrepreneur who went into the Soviet Union to win the rights to the game, and he's the man who made it a world-wide phenomenon" The three statements above are true, dubious and false in that order.
- alexandros 17y agoAnother false one here: "Tetris was designed and programmed in the Soviet Union by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984." Source: "http://vadim.oversigma.com/Tetris.htm http://vadim.oversigma.com/Tetris.htm
- stse 17y agoFor the history of Tetris, check out the BBC documentary "Tetris: From Russia with Love".
- stevejohnson 17y agoThe documentary does not paint this man in nearly as good a light.
- Keyframe 17y agoThere is also a book called Game Over: How Nintendo Zapped an American Industry, Captured Your Dollars, and Enslaved Your Children http://www.amazon.com/Game-Over-Nintendo-American-Industry/dp/0679404694/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1253329044&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.com/Game-Over-Nintendo-American-Industry/d... I believe there is a newer edition out.
