While there may be a place for a hospital that does it all, it makes perfect sense that you would have a hospital that does just heart surgery and a lot of it. You probably have less contagious people around; you're going to have staff that is familiar with the various complications available all the time; and you can probably negotiate better prices based on volume for the various tools and disposables; it just makes good sense.
