Ask HN: HTML5 vs. Native

Is there a some resource I can crosscheck the specs of a mobile app as to whether I ought to write a Navive mobile app, vs. an HTML5 web app (with responsive UI)? I am on the fence and need a push in one direction based on current pros/cons for going one way or the other. I have to write something for both Android and iOS, so right there, I am leaning towards HTML5. Plus, the phone's hardware is scantly utilized.
