I stopped wearing a watch (ubiquitous Casio black plastic one) the last time a watchband broke on me due to the repeated stress it experienced every time I took it off to type with a wristrest/palmrest. Still wondering a bit about this aspect, although it apparently does not affect/bother everyone.
