I'd love to see YC innovate in this area rather than shame other incubators into better behavior. Accepting applications on a rolling basis instead of once every 3 months with a 2 month wait, for example. I'm not sure how well that idea would work, but I'm sure there's something that could be done.
- brm 12y agoWhat about the equivalent of an 'early decision' application like in US colleges?
- dangerlibrary 12y agoEarly decision only exists to pad college's acceptance and yield statistics. There's no obvious benefit of ED to an incubator interested only in financial returns.
- judk 12y agoAnd to comfort students who don't want the hassle of applying to a dozen schools. Top schools like Harvard have non-exclusive Early Action offers.
