Ask HN: Solving the problem of “No Results”

One of the issues we are facing is when a user searches a word in a specific city and there are no tweets within the last 15 minutes. Right now we have a page suggesting words that have been previously searched with having results. However, some words might not have results based on locations i.e. "Tech" in San Fran shows results and "Tech" in Key West might not. Looking for some type of solution to keep users engaged and still getting meaningful information. Thanks in advance!
