I'm sorry to hear all the "psh...of course it didn't work. he should have done this and that's!". I thought this was an interesting read. Armchair after-the-fact analysis when you weren't the one involved (which can cloud judgement) is pretty easy. Thanks to the author for taking the time to write up his experiences.
