    You've been able to buy an unlocked Moto G on amazon since not long after it came out. I assume the same will be true of its replacement. You can buy it with either the US or worldwide GSM frequencies.

    That's not true. It's being sold in Brazil [1] and if it's anything like previous the previous generation, probably a lot of other countries, too.
