What a show! I have to say that this sounds a little bit like a non-apology ("I'm sorry the name is so infuriating") and I do think John Gruber is right that the name chosen was a bit rude. However, Gruber's response or lack thereof comes off as really arrogant to me. I wonder if there is some personal history that we are not aware of? The "you say jump, I say how high?" tweet struck me as an overly aggressive response to what seemed to me a reasonable request back in the day.
