Source? That seems really, really high to me for an average.
- xwowsersx 12y agoWhat does that even mean "on" their emails? Actively reading and replying to email is very different from having email open or receiving emails on your phone, etc.
- michael_h 12y agoThat sounds about right to me if you include both personal and work email time. You might be surprised at the number of people in large organizations that spend seven hours a day actively reading and writing email.
- eric_cc 12y agoI would be really surprised if the real average is even 5 minutes. Average would include people who check email once a week or even far less than that
- TeMPOraL 12y agoWell, it's not high if you count writing in. Today I spent ~2h just on a single e-mail conversation (few e-mails sent, few received). Writing thoughtfully to another human takes time.
