Lua pretty much has the same problem as Tcl. Two embedded scenarios don't share much with each other, and quite often you're not even allowed to use outside code -- or even share some of your own. OpenResty has been around for a while, but then again, it's not like Aolserver helped Tcl a lot in the end.
