Poll: How high are your cubicle walls?
Just curious as to what type of environment dominates in the HN world, and what works best for people. Hopefully I've got the majority here...
- chollida1 17y agoMy company issues offices to all programmers. Perhaps this should be an option?
- jrwoodruff 17y agoDone, as well as a new 'not private enough' cube option
- designtofly 17y agoWhere's the "5 feet tall - not quiet/private enough to get work done" option?
- abennett 17y ago3.5' walls + 18" of glass
- jrwoodruff 17y agoThat sounds kinda cool - is it good or bad?
- DanielStraight 17y agoWhat about 5 feet and I have no particular emotional response to it? ;)
- byoung2 17y agoA picture is worth a thousand words: http://tinypic.com/r/9jg12g/3 http://tinypic.com/r/9jg12g/3 As you can see, I always win the cleanest cubicle award!
- chollida1 17y agoOh cubicle farm. That's a depressing office:(
- ja27 17y agoAbout 3.5 feet. Tall enough that you can't see each other when you're sitting but low enough to see everyone when you stand up. We moved here from 2-person offices. It sucks, but not as bad as open plan.
- cpr 17y agoMaybe add a vote for home-office workers? Been working out of my house for 20 years.
- mahmud 17y agolast 5 years here :-)
- mahmud 17y agoCubicle! HAHA. I work in my undies, in my own apartment, and 14 hours removed from the "office" time zone.
- Avenger42 17y agoEveryone in one conference room at our client's offices. Much fun.
- HeyLaughingBoy 17y ago5' tall but I can see out of windows on two sides since I'm on a corner. I don't care about being in a cubicle as much as I care about sitting down all day :-( The older I get, the more restless I become. Even though my wife has to deal with weather extremes in her job, I'm beginning to envy her!
- jrwoodruff 17y agoI hear that. You have to go out of your way just to make sure you stay in average shape. Sometimes I feel like I'm glued to a chair.
