Ryanair 'solved' this problem by fitting non-recline seats (which also means cabin crew don't have to check seat positions before landing). There's also no seat-back storage which increases leg room (or rather lets them fit more seats in the same space) which also removes the need for cleaners to check seat pockets reducing turn-around time.
