I hope carriers or sellers don't create unfullfilled expectations. Here in Uruguay, one of the carriers, Movistar, heavily marketed the Firefox OS phone, and quite a few non-techies bought them (including coworkers), and were VERY dissapointed when they found out it was very limited compared to similarly priced Android phones (one BIG disappointment was the lack of WhatsApp, a deal-breaker in my country). Edit: it seems that "ConnectA2, a WhatsApp client, comes bundled with the phone". Good point :) Firefox OS needs to be able to combat the network effect of Android and iOS, or it will fail.
