Look, XP is fine to run as long as you keep it off the Internet. But running XP on a computer connected to the Internet now is analogous to refusing to vaccinate your kids. It makes life risky for both you and the people around you. Not to mention the fact that you can't even begin to expect modern web sites to support your IE 5 or 6. That's just not going to happen.
