I'm the author of the post. "Don't criticize others" is a tip I got from how to win friends and influence people. I believe it's more appropriate to explain our reasons rather than criticize. That's my idea but thanks for the feedback.

You can criticize AND give reasons for it. They're not mutually exclusive.
