um, C++ is the most widely used language in the world.
- tormeh 12y agoOkay, that's incorrect. It's a bit hard to say whether it is Java, Javascript or C, but it's certainly not C++.
- tedunangst 12y agoIt's really neither here nor there, but every java or JavaScript engine in widespread use is written in c++, so c++ code "in use" subsumes both of them.
- tormeh 12y agoNo language exists but x86 binary code!
- AnimalMuppet 12y agoUm, ever hear of ARM? (Also 680X0, IBM mainframes, 8051, Itanium, Sparc...) But then I presume the parent was sarcasm.
- tormeh 12y agoYeah, it was sarcasm on my part, at least. Point being that only binary is it's own language all the way down (which is of course not long at all).
- coldtea 12y agoWe have this notion of "trolls", but troll means someone that specifically tries to stir discussions or invite responses, by saying controversial stuff on purpose. I think the parent's comment is just plain ignorant. Saying stuff that he thinks is "cool" because he doesn't know better.
