I guess one of the main ideas is to port to Qt5 and use the latest technologies.
- zanny 12y agoYea, the real benefit is a new crop of KDE applications or redesigns around QML. A long standing complaint with Qt has been the stiffness of the UI, which was due to its widgets heritage. Compare Plasma Media Center to Dragon Player and you can see the difference between the two technologies UX wise.
