- andlima 12y agoActually, I think the coverage was decent until now (at least on the web), but, yeah, the death of Eduardo Campos will definitely eclipse the award.
- soneca 12y agoI agree. He was in every news TV show, including the biggest of them "Jornal Nacional". Also very good coverage of IMPA, the math institute behind his education. But sure, now with the sad news about Eduardo Campos he will be nowhere to be seen. I hope in the next months and years he is remembered and popularized (is that a word?).

- hamai 12y agoIt was on Globo's Jornal Nacional a few hours ago: http://g1.globo.com/educacao/noticia/2014/08/pesquisador-brasileiro-ganha-premio-equivalente-nobel-de-matematica.html http://g1.globo.com/educacao/noticia/2014/08/pesquisador-bra... That's as prime time as you can get on brazilian TV. He'll get a lot of calls from every channel, newspaper and magazines.
- gcmartinelli 12y agoI was actually surprised at the coverage, at least in online newspapers. There hasn't been any coverage on the first woman to win the prize, though...
