Ask HN: Best, simple to use WYSIWYG website builder?
Hi all. We are doing research on best WYSIWYG website builders out there - the easiest ones to use for regular web user.
We would like to hear from Hacker News community about their personal choices, possibly new startups that recently are doing this, personal experiences and possible problems you see with those platforms.
- sixQuarks 12y agoI've tried searching for a replacement for Dreamweaver, because it's expensive, but there really is no substitute if you want a WYSIWYG editor. I've tried everything on the market, nothing came close to Dreamweaver.
- funkyy 12y agoSquarespace sounds like a good alternative. My startup yet to be revealed is working on WYSIWYG editor in very low pricing point unique to others, so we are researching market now. We hope to be ready to advertise on HN within 6-9 months (yes, its hard work on WYSIWYG editor...) Thanks for input :)
- smartera 12y agoCheck out squarespace
- mrfusion 12y agoHow about weebly? I've always liked it.
- MalcolmDiggs 12y agoSquarespace seems to be killing it lately. Wix is also popular. If you're looking for something that may be more customizable/flexible in the future as you add on features then a hosted wordpress solution is a strong choice. I've used wpengine.com with no complaints.
