- wlesieutre 12y agoDoesn't look intentional. I've gotten drastically different street name coverage for the same area at the same zoom level depending on whether I got there by panning or zooming. And neither one includes names for the whole screen. Still a few kinks to work out? http://i.imgur.com/DNBt4AM.png http://i.imgur.com/DNBt4AM.png It feels like the text pops in and out as large zones, and the zones are unloading themselves before the whole zone is offscreen, sometimes leaving large areas blank. For reference, the upper image was produced by panning. The area on the right had been showing text, but it vanished as it got near the edge of the screen.
- jfirebaugh 12y agoThis looks like a bug. I filed a ticket and we'll take a look. Thanks for the details! https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-gl-js/issues/652 https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-gl-js/issues/652
- wlesieutre 12y agoI'm running Firefox 32 Beta on Windows 8.1 with DPI scaling, in case that helps narrow it down. Tried to test it, but I don't think I can get FF to stop scaling without logging out and back in; quitting and rerunning it with the disable scaling box checked doesn't work. That's normally the first thing I look at for graphical glitches on here, though I have no idea how it affects WebGL. Great job with this! Coming from Google Maps and similar, the smooth motion is mesmerizing, especially labels staying level as you rotate. And tile loading/pop-in is much quicker than what I get from Google.
