Wikipedia Refuses to Remove Famous Photo Because Copyright is “Owned by Monkey”
- leni536 12y agoThe claim of the uploader: "This file is in the public domain, because as the work of a non-human animal, it has no human author in whom copyright is vested." So he doesn't claim that the photo is "Owned by Monkey". On the other hand I do not think that he is right. I'm not a lawyer and I'm not too familiar with copyright laws but it's simply not only the work of a "non-human animal" (I'm yet to see a "human animal").
