Happy to answer any questions about this.
- dominotw 12y agoHow well is the caching supported. Is there a way for me to cache and restore my gem dirs?
- pbiggar 12y agoCircleCI has great caching support for gems, etc (we've had this for about 2 years, so it's really mature). I suspect it might need to be tweaked to support docker use cases a bit better, so can you try it out and let us know?
- mentat 12y agoGem caching in docker is more about layer construction than anything the CI would do as such. Though old: http://ilikestuffblog.com/2014/01/06/how-to-skip-bundle-install-when-deploying-a-rails-app-to-docker/ http://ilikestuffblog.com/2014/01/06/how-to-skip-bundle-inst...
- dominotw 12y agoThis doesn't work in a CI between multiple machines. See the discussion around this in drone https://github.com/drone/drone/issues/147 https://github.com/drone/drone/issues/147
- ukd1 12y agoThis is awesome, I need to check this out in detail. Do you have good elastic beanstalk integration?
- pbiggar 12y agoWhat does "good" integration mean to you?
- pbiggar 12y agoThat is, we have elastic beanstalk support, but I'd love to know how we can make it better :)
- worldsoup 12y agothere is an elastic beanstalk example in the docs http://circlehost:8080/docs/docker#elastic-beanstalk http://circlehost:8080/docs/docker#elastic-beanstalk
- TheAceOfHearts 12y agoMight wanna update that url :P.
- worldsoup 12y agooops! thanks for the heads up https://circleci.com/docs/docker#elastic-beanstalk https://circleci.com/docs/docker#elastic-beanstalk
- iamclovin 12y agocan you run privileged containers (so that you can run tests that use docker internally?)
