- com2kid 12y agoI've talked to multiple people who did not know that we've had HepC cures for around a decade now. I can sort of understand why marketing exists. Many people (most?) do not see their doctor on a regular basis, and even if they do, they might not bring up some chronic issue that they've learned to "live with". For people who do not see their doctor (or who do not have a good relationship with their doctor, or who have a poorly informed doctor) marketing from pharmaceutical companies may very well be the only way that they learn a cure or treatment exists for a problem that they have!
