In Chrome Devtools debugger, you can click on the Async checkbox next to where the call stack is. So, when paused, you can see the full stack. (If you are not on the latest chrome, this might need to be enabled in experiments).
And this show why it is a bit difficult to choose what to show, among all the things from the call stack (including async stuff) that triggered something. For one thing you could possibly ignore libary code (e.g. http://www.divshot.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/ignoring-library-code-while-debugging-in-chrome/ http://www.divshot.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/ignoring-library... ) but if you have a medium to big SPA with many backbone/wreqr events, let's say, you would still need to look in the stack manually.
- heydenberk 12y agoFWIW, be careful leaving this checkbox ticked when profiling code: it can consume 30%+ of CPU cycles, dwarfing everything else.
